P.O.S.S.

P.O.S.S. is a tiny expandable and customizable PCB for music creation that could be anything that you want: a lead synthetizer, a drum machine, a sound processor, vocoder, ... The unique feature of this open source project is the ability to be modified and personalized throught coding and digital fabrication. My intention is to provide a cheap and reliable alternative to allow everyone to experiment with sound.

This project is the final output of my Master of Science's thesis at Politecnico di Milano. Part of the sperimentation was made inside Polifactory, where I tried to replicate and test some PCB using a cheap milling CNC machine. Although is possible to obtain working prototype through this simple machine, nowadays there are several options to manufacture PCB for few dollars, like online service JLCPCB.

The board can synthetize sounds thanks to the amazing Teensy board and library. My plans for the next future are to continue to develop the board and to design along with possible users add-on PCB to expand P.O.S.S.
